An integral part of the culture of the Ukrainian people, traditional musical instruments reflect the richness of the nation’s soul; its creativity and its high material and spiritual culture; and the melodious and polyphonic nature of Ukrainian music.

The museum's collection of Ukrainian traditional musical instruments includes kobzas, banduras, flutes, whistles, drums, lira (wheel lyre), tsymbaly (hammer dulcimer), violin, domra, mandolin, horn, and trembita (alpine horn).
