MONOTYPE WORKSHOP

unleash your creativity!

Wednesday, June 19, 2024, 6 - 8 PM

Shevchenko Museum, 1604 Bloor Street West, Toronto

A Monotype is a unique print, typically painterly in effect, made by applying paint or printing ink to a flat sheet of metal, glass, or plastic. The painted image is transferred to paper either by manually rubbing or using a press. We invite you to spend an evening of art experimenting with this wonderful painting technique.

In this workshop you will learn about the process and create your own unique work of art, perhaps a portrait in Picasso-style. Also, we will make postcards of your own design. We will improvise, fantasize, relieve stress, and have fun. A professional artist and experienced art instructor, Nataliia Petrenko-Litvinova, will guide you through the fascinating process of creating a monotype painting.

All materials are included & please dress for mess!
