The Shevchenko Museum invites you to a Petrykivka Christmas Ornament Workshop conducted by professional artist and educator, Olena Chorna. This fun and creative session is a perfect way to celebrate the magic of Ukrainian folk art, explore the vibrant Petrykivka style, and create a beautiful piece of artwork.

In the guided, 3-hour session, you will learn the traditional Ukrainian folk art of Petrykivka painting, first by practising the special delicate brushstrokes on paper, learning how to form petals, leaves, and floral compositions, then apply your new skills to paint a Christmas ornament, add a touch of glitter, and tie it with a ribbon to take home your own hand-painted holiday keepsake.
