Fundraising Campaign: Christmas Gifts for Children in Ukraine

Open your heart. Help make children's eyes shine with joy

Monday, November 10, 2025 to Monday, December 15, 2025

Christmas gifts for children in Ukraine who have lost their parents will be a symbol of hope and belief in kindness.

The Taras Shevchenko Museum in Canada has long been providing support to those wounded and affected by the full-scale war in Ukraine. Starting today, we are launching a fundraising campaign for Christmas gifts for the children of fallen, captured, and missing Ukrainian soldiers. Living near the front lines, where bombs and rockets rain down by the hundreds, more than 15,000 children face death and heartbreak every single day.

Open your heart. Help make children's eyes shine with joy. For the gifts, we plan to purchase new soft toys, sweets, vitamins, warm gloves, socks, and more.

Donations will be accepted until December 15, 2025, via monetary contributions on the Shevchenko Museum website: https://www.shevchenko.ca/global/support.cfm (please check the box labeled "Christmas presents for children in Ukraine"),

You can also support by purchasing books, ornaments, embroidered shirts, porcelain, wooden crafts, and souvenirs directly at the Shevchenko Museum (1604 Bloor Street West, Toronto ON). 100% of the proceeds from donations and sales made before December 15 will go toward purchasing gifts for children in Ukraine. Funds and gift procurement will be managed through the civic organization “ZHINKY RODU” (27a Khreshchatyk Street, Kyiv, Ukraine, https://www.instagram.com/p/DHtd6f7iThn/?hl=en).

We hope that during this pre-Christmas season, when hearts especially long for warmth, these gifts will bring joy and smiles to children who face the pain of loss, uncertainty, or loneliness every day.
