On September 25, 2022 the Shevchenko Museum will celebrate its 70th Anniversary with a banquet, entertainment, and raffle.
The first and only Shevchenko Museum in the western world was opened in 1952 in North Oakville, Ontario. After its destruction by fire in 1988, it was re-opened in Toronto in 1995. In 2019 it was moved to newly-renovated facilities. Since its opening in 1952, the museum has served thousands of visitors from Canada and the world, sharing our heritage with passion and dedication.
